چکیده

Three species belonging to the genus Dolichopoda (Orthoptera; Rhaphidopohoridae) are known so far from Peloponnese, all endemic area. In particular, D. matsakisi is two mountains in North, while dalensi present east region. The third species, unicolor, distributed southern part of inhabiting caves on Mt Taygetos and Mani Peninsula. Recently, extensive sampling work most Peloponnese has led discovery new taxa, morphologically differentiated by above three species. To investigate delimitation Peloponnesian Dolichopoda, we performed both morphological molecular analyses. Morphological analysis was carried out considering diagnostic characters generally used distinguish different as shape epiphallus males subgenital plate females. Molecular sequencing mitochondrial genes, 12S rRNA, 16S COI, one nuclear gene, 28S rRNA.Results analyses were revise taxonomic arrangement species. On whole, able seven lineages which kofinasi n.sp., D.epidavrii poseidonica propanti n.sp. described species.http://www.zoobank.org/urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:857875CB-22B9-4CFC-9B7F-3FDDFC47A4E6

Olfactory signaling of aggressive intent in male-male contests of cave crickets (Troglophilus neglectus; Orthoptera: Rhaphidophoridae)

In animal contests, communicating aggressive motivation is most often mediated by visual or acoustic signals, while chemical signals are not expected to serve such a function since they are less able to be modulated by the sender during the changing behavioral context. We describe a rare example of ephemeral olfactory signals in terrestrial animals, signals that are emitted via protrusive scent...

A description of four new species of Dolichopoda Bolivar, 1880 (Orthoptera, Rhaphidophoridae) from Eastern Aegean region (Southern Sporades), including Western Turkey, is reported. This brings to a total of 11 the number of Dolichopoda species recorded for caves of the Aegean area. Overall, these species show a high degree of morphological homogeneity and they are very close to Dolichopoda para...

Two new Truncatelloidea species from Melissotrypa Cave in Greece (Caenogastropoda).

In the small lake located in the cave Melissotrypa in Thessalia, Greece, truncatelloidean gastropods representing two species were found, new to science. One of them, represented by two specimens only, has been described based on the shell characters only; with its cytochrome oxidase sequence it has been assigned to the genus Iglica, and to the family Moitessieriidae, Iglica hellenica sp. n. Fo...
